"Then Tom Boonen came over, ducked under the tape, and starting grabbing the brakes"

LOL! Just like everybody does when looking at a bike-- squeeze the levers.

Boonen looks like a little kid.

Love it!

Boonen should have throw a leg over it and pedaled away. They wouldn't have caught him.

Haha, that's funny but of course just a setup seeing that QS ride SRAM and are on payroll. Of course a camera happened to be right there when Boonen sqeezed those brakes

Doesn't sound like the new Campy Record proto made such a splash; they need a better marketing department.

Looks like they both took design inspiration from the best component maker.

Some info re: the system is trickling in....if accurate, it sounds like SRAM will be using an interesting take on the shifting system.

* Both paddleses will shift the RD. It is believed that the left shifter moves to a bigger gear and the right shifter moves to an easier cog.

* Pushing in both paddles at the same time will shift the FD

An interesting approach....at first I thought it was silly, but after pondering it a bit, it makes sense and is inline with their "DoubleTap" shifting systems.

Paddleses, CK? guess they could use Gollum instead of the frog for all the PR stuff

That is an odd shifting pattern, it will be interesting to see in the wild

CK, I am thinking they are taking a hint from the paddle shifters on cars now.

We wants it, we needs it. Must have the paddleses. They stole it from us. Sneaky little hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy, false!

Fully wireless perhaps, according to CN. Or maybe they are just patenting it so no one else can. I suspect that contributes to why they came up with the dual-paddle control approach. Was that the only approach that doesn't violate other patents?

Wireless is cool though. A lot of frame designs are doing all sorts of gyrations to make Di2 fit and I dislike that frames are being made to work with Di2 or mechanical, but not both. I like the idea of interchangeable parts, even though that has it's own problems.
