Hi All - I am still riding 10-speed Campag Record from ~ 2002. All is well except I think I've finally worn out my 39-tooth chainring. Can somebody please assist with how I would go about getting a new ring? I've looked all around and I'm not having much luck. Another question . . . I don't suppose 11-speed crank/rings would be compatible with the rest of my 10 speed stuff??? If they are, I would consider upgrading to this and then upgrade the rest of the gruppo as I can/want. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

excelcycle has a Campy 39T chainring for $75.24. I don't think you can use a 11 speed 39T chainring with a ten speed Campy crank as one bolt hole is off set and won't match the Campy ten crank. Otherwise you can use a 11 speed crank/rings with a Campy ten and it will work fine. I've been using one for several years.

The 10 and 11 speed cranks are ideticle at the same level. I put 11 speed chain rings on my 10 speed cranks. It used to be record rings were only compatible with record level and Chorus had a different chainring, Ultra torque cranks are the same in the top 3 levels. now 2002 or 2003 cranks might be square taper bb axle? small rings are compatible including 11 speed and big rings should be OK, keeping in mind the location of the chain drop pin is different from Record to Chorus. the only difference between 10 and 11 speed rings is the width of the teeth and the centre to centre spacing of them. the crank arms are the same thickness between the rings. I am going to say you can put 11 speed rings on this crank and it will be compatible with 10 speed systems and 11 speed. When I went from 10 to 11 I only changed my big ring even though it worked very well. I had a few occasions where the shift from big to small the chain was slow to drop I think because the 10 speed ring was a little too thick with the 11 speed chain.

Might have to do about mine being a compact 50-34. I bought a 3T4 ten speed chainring and one hole is off set and would not line up to the 2011 compact crank arm. The owner of my LBS said that lately Campy started making changes so you have to be specific about the year. I had to find a chainring for a 2011 Campy compact crank. So be careful before you order. I also searched all over and Excelcyle had exactly what I needed. They also have a Amazon store, but if you go to their website. the prices are a little less. You might try a search at Amazon. never know what will show up. Things come and go, so if you see and good price, jump of it.

I have a 2002 53/39 Chorus crankset on my old bike. I have replaced the small ring about three times and the large ring once. I never had a problem finding chainrings. but it's been awhile...
