1000+ miles and 2 120mile rides in and love this bike. Irony is carbon fork, pedals, and bars. The shop kept getting the build screwed up and ended up with these FSA bars on there so I tried them and I ended up liking the shape, especially the bar top which flattens a bit and feels really natural in your hand. I'd recommend that shape for anyone who is not happy with their current bars. I'm not a big FSA fan (had a few crank failures) and hope these bars are durable. When in the drops, they have a slight springy feel.
The wheels are also really nice. The HEDs have the 23mm bed and they mounted 23mm tires. That combo rolls really well. I may try 25mm tires in the future but this feels better than any setup I've every tried and wayyyy nicer than the Ksyriums I've been riding for the past 15 years.

Mmmmmm....I love bike pjorn in the morning.

Great looking ride, Chinook. Really well done. The cages are a nice touch.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I like the blue bits. Just enough pop.

Nicely done! I'm envious.

the only way that bike could be any nicer is if it was mine. sweet ride.
How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.

Cool! Now I know what bike to look for while riding to work.

My height guess for you is 6' 1 3/4" - am I even close?

Chinook, I have the HED 23 mm wheels on my new Seven and run 25mm tires on them. I really like the set-up. Did you find you could drop the air pressure in the tires and still get good roll? The increased air volume that results from the wider rim, and in my case tire as well, seems to allow for that. I've logged about 1,300 miles on it so far with a long Adirondack ride this Saturday.

I dig the lack of paint!

I'll second Huck on the guess. I could ride your bike rather nicely. Drop the seat an inch, have Moots make a 13cm -17 stem, put on old school deep handlebars with the '60s lever location and I'm rolling in style.

Oh wait, I've already got one of those! Except it's painted red. And 100% non-CF. (I think I actually have a CF bit, but it is very minor and I cannot remember what/where it is. HB end caps?)

6'0" exactly. Would that fit ya, Huck?

Running 95-100psi and don't feel the need to go any lower. I weigh 190. Would love to see pics of that Adirondack ride if you got 'em.

When I rode Ksyriums at 23mm I would run them at 100. These, yup I'm at 95, maybe 100.

I'm sure pictures will be taken. I'll try and get some for posting.

Sadly, no CP...

I was being optimistic that it could possibly accommodate me at 6'3" ; )

It's really a gorgeous bike.

I like that you went with the Moots stem and post too!

Little story about the Moots post. While waiting for it to come in, the shop threw on an FSA carbon post. It had a really wide contact point with the rails and so had very little fore-aft adjust. It also required an extra long hex key to adjust. Terrible design for an every-day post IMO. I thought I would need a zero-offset post since it was slammed all the way forward. The moots post has a much smaller contact point and has independent adjust for fore-aft and tilt, really cool. You take off one of the rail clamps and there is a wedge bolt inside which can be loosened to adjust tilt. You have to crank it pretty tight but it hasn't slipped at all which is a surprise for a that kind of a design.
