Holy $4it....

But I gotta wonder if any QR lever would have produced similar results...also would like to know where the lever was in relation to the fork leg. If it was parallel to the fork leg, it seems like that kind of injury would be extremely unlikely. But if the end was pointed out in any way, it would be a different story.

Glad the guy is gonna be OK....scary ass stuff.

Wow! Just a nauseous wow...

I read his Twitter feed regarding the accident - took me a while to gather how it happened. Crazy.

With CK's big recommendation of duct tape, I'm just going to tape my wheels to the fork and everyone I ride with or near ; )

P.S. Yes I would have been the stupid one and pulled it out of my leg.

I know none of the local Cat 6's on on this forum but for gosh sake, orient your skewers correctly!

The number I see that are pointing straight back (both front and rear) or straight forward (front) is nuts

I saw a woman riding a QR bike yesterday. Lever was at 1 o'clock and not closed fully She was with her man and they took a right before I got to them. Didn't see his. (Full outfits, nice bikes, they were smooth riders.) I was at around mile 90, not interested in either chasing or confrontations!)
