Just got some 6 bolt 160mm. The instructions show a flower-shaped washer thing that goes between the bolts and the spider. No such washer thing came with the rotor, just the bolts and some funky lockwasher things that look inspired by the legal department. Any thoughts?

Looking forward to that upgrade sometime this summer. Hopefully you can use some lock tite on the bolts and be good.

You're missing a part. There should be a large plate that mates with a recess on the rotor mounting flange. Those bent bone shaped things are in addition to that and once the rotor bolts are torqued up you bend then against one side of the triangular bolt head to hold the bolt in place. I ditched mine after the rotor was on and off a bunch of times. Locktite instead.

You are not missing a part. You should just have the rotor and tightening plates.

I think I've found the answer online:
The fixing washer that I don't have came with triangle shaped bolt heads. The newer version that I have comes with the usual round head bolts but no fixing washer. But it's packaged with instructions for the older setup. That's confusing.

For you tech heads:
Here's what came with the rotors, so you can see the "fixing washer" part I don't have (I think OF gets this):

But here's the brake set instructions, which don't show the fixing washer:

Looks like they changed things. Good to know.

yeah, your good to go, just ditch the pain in the A$$ butterfly looking washers, the bolts should have loctite on them. I converted ly monocog to disc, using some of these ice tech rotors that were take offs from a Santa Cruz that we put 180's on.
How did yours look out of the box? We have had a few issues of the 160's being a little tweaked, had to straighten them, and nearly 100% of the 180's are tweaked
