This is NOT an ad! I'm just wanting some advice on how to price out my steed. It's a 2011 Blue AC1 SL with Dura-Ace Di2. Mavic Ksyrium SLR wheels, TRP Magnesium/Ti brakes, Easton EC90 SLX carbon stem, Aerus carbon handlebars, Fizik Airone Tri saddle, Arundel carbon cages...you get the picture. It's a great ride. As any of you from the VN forum would know, it's not like it's been used very much. Probably has less than 1500 miles on it (according to Strava, at least.) Thinking $3000? Too high/low?

Sounds about right maybe a little low Di2 bling and all. You can always start with a higher reserve on Ebay and lower it on the next auction if it doesn't sell.

Good point, Inferno. I will likely try that approach. Maybe $3600. The main drawback is that Blue still isn't one of the major brands and because of that, doesn't quite have the residual value that others do. In terms of performance and quality, it's right on par with the big guys though, and the parts are second to none.

The hard part is that I'll have to finish building the new bike first and will have to fork over the cash for that.

Agreed w/ Inferno that $3K seems a bit on the low side for a prime Di2 bike. Also agree with his strategy offsetting a reserve you are comfortable with.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I might even swap out the Ksyrium SLR wheels to some super-nice Easton EC90 Aero Carbon clinchers. That should help entice a buyer.

Side note - your best "bang for the buck" will probably be to part the bike out. Complete bikes never seem to get the sum value of their parts.

But it takes more time.....disassembly, managing multiple auctions, multiple shipments, etc.
