Do any of you have any experience (good or bad) with the new version of the Cannondale Synapse frame (2014 now has a cutout seat tube along with some other changes, different than previous years) and with Cannondale frames in general. I am looking for a new frame and am leaning towards the "endurance" models - Roubaix, Synapse, etc.
Not near as many Cannondales around as Specialized and Trek, and just wanted to see what the general feeling was with Cannondale compared to other large companies, and whether their designs had any merit.

| No experience with the new Synapses, but I've had a Cannondale SuperX for two years and love it. The LBS switched from Specialized to Cannondale several years ago and they seem pleased with the customer response. |

I have a 2012 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Fiber that I freaking love. I have put more than 5,000 miles on it and it continues to be the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. It has great stability and handles like a dream.

Hey, can't a gal have a purse on her bike? 
I like to have everything that I need (tubes, tools, cartridges), but hate carrying things in my jersey. It does look ridiculously large, huh? Oh, well....it has gotten me through some tough spots so I guess it has served its purpose.

Look out CC - incoming flames - your saddle bag is larger than allowed by the 10 zillion rules snobs and purists. "What's next?" they will sniff, " a rear rack?"

Those snobs and purists are the very ones to whom I have had to lend extra tubes out of my big-ass gear bag.
The background is the pier in my hometown of Oceanside, California. It is about five miles from my house and never ceases to take my breath away on a pretty day like the one in the picture. |

CC, I think you have a good looking bike that gets ridden. All is in order. The seatbag looks right, like it belongs. (I do get a kick out of the non-matching WBs. Like something you would see on my bikes.)

That was part of my cycling route for a handful of years. Still have a great memory of having dolphins swim alongside me from Carlsbad Boulevard.
Beautiful riding.
Although I certainly can't complain - just finished a nice Saturday ride up on a small mountain a couple of times and along the Ocean for much of the rest.
And to think that my life sucks... Nah!

Ben, it certainly sees some use. I am proud to say that it climbed over 10,000ft with me over the last week. (My bottles rarely match...I consider it my eclectic touch.)
Huckleberry, I am surrounded by dicks so I am pretty much used to it. Where in California are you?
stronz, I bow down to you because I honestly don't think that I could ride like that. I am what you would call a "weather wuss".
