So it looks like eBay accounts were hacked. Add that to expensive eBay and Paypal fees and selling bike equipment there is quickly losing its original luster. What other options are there? I have a Dura-Ace SRM crankset I'm trying to sell but refuse to use Craigslist because of the amount of crap you get sent on email. Lot of weird people out there. Surely there is a better, safer way of selling used products.

I too am sick of ebay

paceline forum, but you have to participate first for a while. slowtwitch, too from what I gather - just a little more OCD

they have a way of shaming the d-bags and most transactions are pretty straight up. I have received items way before I sent a check and vice versa from paceline members. you can still pay pal but it is avoided when possible, as long as you price it too move you'll do well

Good suggestion on Slowtwitch! I've been a member for years but don't post that much.

Thanks!

Slowtwitch is a great place to buy stuff, my theory is that most of the tri folks are well healed financially and the will sell off perfectly good stuff at a good price just to get the latest stuff.

I'm not so sure it's a great place to get a good price as a seller though. It's more of a buyers market. Of course that is in general, people will over pay for stuff sometimes.

Your SRM will sell in no time flat over there though.

I'm dealing with the Idaho and New York BBBs, and the Idaho Attorney General because due to the ebay hack...not fun!
