Ignoring how obnoxious that is, it is always my impression that putting stuff like speakers or lights or cameras into a helmet would tend to reduce the ability of the helmet to protect your head. Am I wrong on that?

Isn't a helmet mounted camera related to Schumacher's ski helmet failure?

No kidding? Can you explain? I read he fell and hit a rock, the helmet was not enough protection given the physics of the collision.

Camera was mounted to his helmet.

How? I dunno. Extra holes or glue would not make the helmet stronger, to be sure.

So was the helmet compromised...

Possibly...perhaps the lawyers are running up their hours debating this.
