I have two bikes. One has a compact 50/34 12-25. The other has a 53/39 13-26. I was thinking of putting a compact on the 'other'" bike but It would be cheaper to just put on a 13-29 cassette. I have a medium cage Campy Record derailleur. The 'other' bike is a Colnago Master X-Light. Would this work?.

I have a super record der with the 12-29. I needed to change a part in the rear der but I think it is the stock short cage which is no longer than the 10 speed. Jockey wheels are 5.5 CM apart.
