So as I noted in the teaser thread, back in May the BB shell on my Venge Pro schitt the bed on my trip to NC. Died on the second day of riding, which required me to rent a bike for the last two days. Anyway, Specialized finally came through with a warranty frame for me....and not only that, upgraded me from the Venge Pro to an S-Works Venge. SCORE!! Paint job is a limited release that was only done sold in Asia, so I don't think I'll find too many bikes like this one around here. Was hoping to take it out this AM for the usual Tues ./ Thursday hammerfest, but we had big storms rolling through today....gonna take it out at lunch for its maiden voyage. Decided to dump the Di2 from the last Venge and went back to my mechanical Campag Record 10spd stuff....I just prefer the tactile feel of a mechanical system.

Specialized S-Works Venge Frame & fork Zipp 404 Tubular (non-dimpled....old school) Campag Record derailleurs Campag Chorus 10 spd Ergopower Mavic SSC brakes Specialized S-Works carbon cranks w/ Quarq power meter Zipp Sprint carbon aero bars Specialized alloy stem Shimano pedals Fizik Arrione saddle Hot tip - if you have carbon aero bars and only wrap them up to the hoods, try Lizard Skins DSP baseball bat wrap. About half as thick as their bar tape and the perfect length to wrap bars like this....and costs about 1/2 of the bar tape (2 rolls required). I LOVE thin bar tape, so it is perfect for me.

Hmmmm....dunno, Spud. Maybe I should read it! That is the one thing I still need to do....there are assorted stickers on it that I wanna take off....that one, the Quick-Step sticker on the front of the seat tube, assorted size / warning stickers, etc. The top tube has a decal on top with Boonen's name on it....wish I could that that off, but it is under clear coat.
