Converts your clip in pedals to flats.
I would actually use these from time to time. Look needs to make some.

| There was a company about the mid 90's that made a snap on flat with a toe clip for the early look clip on pedals. No longer have them and can't remember the name. |

| Seen similar things for my SPD pedals for a long time, never bought them, but always thought it would be nice when using my MTB to ride around town with my kids. I usually just push my SPDs with sneakers on and at my kid's pace, it hasn't been a problem. Do have an extra pair of flats for guests, etc. |

Years ago in my toeclip days, I had decent looking moccasin style semi dress shoes with good walkable soles and a steel shank. I could apply full pressure on the down stroke and the moccasin leather worked really well with the straps pulled tight (ans unlike shiny dress leather, didn't get scratched by the straps. I used to be able to ride that combo up and over N 65th St in Seattle on my fixie. Off the bike they were just comfortable shoes, the ones I would pick on a Saturday anyway.
I miss those shoes.
