Road in to work Wednesday morning at 1° C. My commute is only around five k and pretty flat so no high speed descending so I figured my Air Attack helmet would be warm enough with its minimal venting. AYEEEEEEEEEE ice cream headache for the first several blocks. I always forget how cold it is on the first cold rides so I bought a gore liner on the way home. Nice and thin. Good stuff. |

man, I hear ya there OF, I'm still getting acclimated to the colder temps, and getting my gear dialed in. From what I hear, the Air Attack helmet ventilates very well, so that's a good call on the liner. I've been using an Icebreaker merino wool skull cap for about three years now, nice and toasty. I was a bit under dressed the other day on the MTB, I was OK on the climbs, but froze my butt off on the descents, it was brutal |

Only 1C Andy - Is that another one of those advantages of living in the posh part of town? It was around -5C when I came down Cariboo Hill. Since Tuesday I've ditched the helmet for a tuque. Will be in your part of town mid-day, the usual UBC ride. |
