Shutting down, per his home page. Says he is going to get a new wheel business up and running by the Spring. Dunno if he got stretched too thin with frames or had some sort of legal issue, but Neuvation is now officially dead.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

Did he get a visit from Spez over the use of the word "wheel'?

I have two sets and John has always been easy to deal with so I wish him the best. I was shocked because I thought his new semi custom wheel approach looked awesome.
His note was optimistic so I hope he comes back strong.

My guess is that he sold his business to his employees. However, I'll keep my ear to the So Cal scuttlebutt and report back with any details.

Here's an update on Neuvation via a link to a bicyleretailer.com article. Sounds like John was losing business to the Chinese e-bay sellers, and decided to get out while he was ahead. (IMHO, Neuvation was late to the game with offering carbon fiber wheels, and the alloy wheel market dried up significantly.) Plus he's near retirement age.
