My picks are Cancellara (solo), Degenkolb (small group sprint) or Stybar (early escape) depending on how race develops

And watch out for Guillaume Van Keirsbulck, he's the next deadly pretty boy of Belgian cycling.

my boring pick for what should be an exciting race:
1. Sagan
2. Cance
3. Boonen

The cream rises to the top this year.

I am taking Cancellara because of his MSR finish.

Dark horse...Gilbert.

Cancellara, but I'd love to see Boonen take it.

Stybar, Sagan, Boonen. I am thinking Cancellara is getting just over the hump of age and still being marked as a favourite will be too much. Boonen has had a bad last season and has something to prove but a thumb injury and personal tragedy might be too much. Sagan I think still wastes energy and does stuff he shouldn't but he is so strong. Stybar because someone else said so.

GvK wins dePanne.

Keith - pretty sure Gilbert is done with cobbles

His form looked good in MSR, crap tactic not withstanding. I am surprised he is sitting it out.

And GvK only won because Terpstra broke a pedal. Terpstra...been saying it since December. He is in superb form.

I think at some point he had some drive to win a flemish classic on top of the walloon stuff he's good at but that drive is long gone. now he'll be happy if he wins any classic and he's focusing on the ones he's good at close to home.

same as discussions we had on the old forum on Cance winning LBL - hahaha.

You are right on Terpstra's bad luck but the kid's there nonetheless.

@KR: Ha, guess I should have checked the start list... Although I'm with you thinking that Terpstra has a good chance to get it, I would love see another classic (in both senses of the word) Boonen vs. Cancellara clash of the titans.
