Is CF being an arrogant jackass by not wanting BW to be his number one support or is he a little intimidated. Why wouldn’t you want both R Port and BW to support you? They are riding different Tour warms ups Dauphine and Tour de Suisse which speaks volume. In his book (yeah another book) he tells his side of the story and how he fell out with BW back in 12 and claims it is important for people to know why. I think he is a little scared, and Sir Bradley is calm and in control. Let the mud slinging begin https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/froome-casts-doubt-tour-france-spot-wiggins-054434343--spt.html

I think a team leader should have the last say on who's on the team. But I think it says a lot about Froome and perhaps his insecurities that he doesn't want Wiggins aboard.\

Froome should look at this as an honor to get another shot at the big dance with no Quintana there to spoil the party.

I can't remember were I read it, but someone wrote "Froome has done what no one else could...make me a Sir Brad fan".

My take: Froome thought that he would have at least part/equal leadership of the '12 TdF, team management said no (maybe BW had some input), so Froome tried to show that he was stronger to make a point.

IMO: I don't think that Froome could have beaten Wiggins even if they were going head to head. Also, bad timing to air your dirty laundry from a team standpoint.

I can see Froome and Wiggins doing different pre-Tour events, but Porte, Wiggins, and Froome together would be a force to be reckoned with at the Tour. The possibility of a 'Hinault-Lemond' scenario with Wiggins and Froome would certainly be entertaining.

Yeah, Froome is insecure and worried....about a teammate.

I'm pretty tired of this whole saga.....Froome is #1, Wiggo acknowledges he is #1....what is the problem?

Sack up, Froome and take the best possible team with you to France.

Where in the article (or any article) does Froome say that Wiggins wouldn't be on the team? The team isn't set yet but that's not the same as saying he can't be on the team. There are two big races and the squad needs to split. Wiggins is not training to win a grand tour. There is no controversy that I can see.

I just read the interview with Froome in the Velo TdF guide. If that was all I knew about him, he seems like an OK guy. My opinion based on what I know, he seems like a turd. The disclaimer is that I only know him through the media so...

Irony alert - Froome is blackballing Wiggo because he is afraid Wiggo will do to him what he did to Wiggo in 2012.

Froome is a whiny little b*tch and needs to sack up. And I don't even LIKE Wiggo!!!

What CK said except I like Wiggo

Froome boy will crash out on the cobbles; saw some pics of the skeleton practising how to ride them; no way he's gonna survive.

I retract my statement above. You only live once. If I'm Froome and I don't think Wiggins is going to ride for me, then I don't take him.

Of course I just finished reading "Slaying the Badger". You can make your race a whole lot easier by surrounding yourself with people you trust.

I do think Froome is misreading Wiggins and should take him. If he survives the cobbles though, he'll probably win handily without him.
