Geez Phil wait to call the winner would ya, when you give someone the win and they don't get a top 10 ....lol. It's a crap shoot every time when he identifies a rider, much less call the winner 100 M out with the peloton less than a second behind you. But he does have a pleasant voice.

Phil's voice is the best sleep-inducing sounds ever created. I can put on an old racing DVD and be asleep in seconds.

Beyond that, he has little value anymore.

I couldn't help but laugh yesterday when Boom crossed the line and he made some comment about having the World Champ's stripes around his arms. Really? Since when were red / white / blue stripes those of the World Champ?

today he was claiming the speed was too high for the tired giant shimano team in the final couple k's. kittel had punctured of course, but why let the facts get in the way of a good story?

Phil may be wrong 100% of the time but he got it right there. Us Dutch are all World Champs

My favorite Liggism was: "The balding Castorama rider..."

He was talking about Riis. Remember those fugly Castorama kits that looked like an apron over a shirt?!

Castorama was a chain of hardware stores in France. They were overalls, not aprons.

Cosmic, all old school carpenters wore leather aprons, but they could have been overalls on the kit. Either way this kits were funny! I assumed they were made to look like the store employee's uniforms.

I've never been to France, but I know that Castorama is/was hardware stores because I read about cycling. See, cycling is good advertising. Castorama-Bianchi (new Belkin team).

Phil or no Phil, I'm just thankful we have coverage. Better than the two blokes who covered the Giro...

IS, not was. Kinda like the Home Depot; home depot boys and girls wear something more like an apron. Like so... Is that Riis?!?

Apparently this morning Phil and Paul blames Talansky for his inexperience in sprinting as the reason why he crashed after Gerrans bumps him twice then hooks him to the ground.

Thankfully we have Dish Network. I dvr all the stages and watch what I want. I did like the interview with Cancellara after stage 5. Interesting what he said about 'the little things', such as Astana having 53x39 gearing. Made a diff on the cobbles....

Andy, I am inclined t think that Phil and Paul were right about Talansky. I didn't hear them nor did I see the race, but two who did both commented that Talanskey was looking to his left, not ahead and that Gerrans did little but ride parallel to the painted stripe and in line with what others were doing. If they were right, that Talansky was not looking straight up the road, well that is a beginner's mistake.

Oh, one of those commenting was Robbie McKuan. I never cared for the guuy, but he does know a little about sprinting.

Yeah, it sounds like both were drifting a bit but Talansky wasn't looking where he was supposed to be looking.
