so do they have different classes for the hour record? like regular road bike w/ gears, track bike, experimental, etc?

I think it's just one category now, not the two tiered "athlete's (Merckx)" record and "anything goes but we're going to ignore it."

Disc wheels: OK but they are the same size
tri bars: OK
Aero helmets: OK
