i haven't seen an official time for Wiggins, but it was something like 1 minute down on the Nibali Ryder group

Froome is potentially screwed because Wiggo is now going to go all nutty about the tour...We'll see if he has the fight for this Giro; he's still in range but not the tight first week one would hope for.

Cadel staying in it....

better wait until after the TT to see how much wiggo needs to panic.

Yes, lets see how much he claws back tomorrow. The TTT showed Sky came into the race sharp and to win. Not sure what went sideways since, could be ilness (one of his teammates had problems), the whole cafuffle with Froome (perhaps all that $4it was for real) or whatever.

Cadel surprises and is in this for real. And so does Gesink. He normally hates this weather and I was sure he was going to crash today :-)

Blanco actually have a descent team with Kruyswijk and Kelderman for support.

Hmmm, sounds like Nibali hurt his hip a bit. This could play in Ryder's hands.

Millar fell on first stage and was crap in the TTT. Probably one of the reasons Garmin underperformed.

Already 2nd fall for Nibali this Giro. OK, first time he was taken down by two Blanco guys but still, seems uncharacteristic.

Killer highlights from todays stage. Hansen rides one hell of a race.

Hats off to Hansen. That was one hell of a ride today. With all the crashes, I am glad nobody was seriously hurt. With the crappy roads and a big stage for tomorrow, I don't think any of the GC riders were hammering too hard today. I have a feeling tomorrow's ITT may bring some interesting results.
