Tour is a big event but foreign audiences are still small. In the US NBCSN’s audience averaged a reported 288,000.

~150k was considered great for the America's Cup on NBC universal sports last time. They pulled 1mm viewers the first wknd on the main NBC channel.

The niche-ification of sports coverage is great for me personally. I watch zero big box sports, but now the ones I actually want to watch are reliably on some channel somewhere.

I cut the cable, so I guess I can't complain. But I'd love to see some real auto racing. Not this hillbilly roundie round crap.
