Great race and a worthy winner, and a popular one based on the crowd roar. Only an American would have been more popular with the huge crowd at the finish. No wheelie, though.
Weather turned out great.

That was an awesome final from what I could make out between rebooting online streaming, which sucked big time. Then Sportsnet had the audacity to show a recap of womens race (nothing against that) while the men's race was going on wasting opportunity for HD live coverage.

Deserving winner. Power move and awesome cornering skills. Finally he nets a really big one. Now if he can win a monument in the rainbow stripes...

The cellular livestream died yesterday during the women's finale too. They were just not set up to handle the demand.

Just watched my DVR of the race. Please let me strongly recommend that you find a way to watch the last 4k, then how Sagan behaved immediately after the win. They guy is a rock star! Perfect fit for American sensibilities, too.

An observation after sharing Richmond for a week with Euros: it was easy to spot the Euros: they never smile. I saw the Slovakia team car immediately after race - their boy won, and won big. If they were Americans, they would be grinning from ear to ear, when not shouting with joy. Instead: Just barely a smile.

Won it on the Old Venge.

Specialized would have plastered every cycling web site known to man kind with an Ad if he would have won it on the new one. With some text about how many seconds he gained on his new aero Venge.

Rockstar podium appearance for sure but he also has a serious side...instead of pinching the first lady of Virginia he made an emphatic plea, which so far has only made it into European media, to deal with the refugee crisis in Europe. Said he was afraid of the future and that this was one of his inspirations for today.

Yep. His English is just so-so, especially after 260km, but his meaning was clear. 25 years old, and showing generosity and wisdom.
Way to go Peter.

I'm not much of a Sagan fan (thinks he generally rides and acts like a buffoon), but his win yesterday was a perfectly executed race (especially given his lack of teammates). His speech from the podium was well done, as well.

Credit where it is due....chapeau.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

Amateur video of fans at Libby Hill watching the finish on the Jumbotron. Same love for Sagan as at the finish.

Sagan's been riding that Tarmac for a big part of this season. Its been the source of much speculation.

Good to know there's more to life than aero although his aero downhill tuck won the race.
