So, my neighbor across the road is good friends with a racer named Michael Woods.  He rode last year for (if memory serves and I get the name right) Kelly Optum Benefit.  He raced in the ToC and was doing pretty well until he got sick. 

I was hoping to meet him last year after the two late season races in Quebec City and Montreal because my neighbor thought he night come to visit (live in Vermont).  Didn't happen, though.

Anyway, this year he got picked up by Cannondale and started the year with a 5th overall at the Tour Down Under, and actually was on the podium after at least one stage.  He and another racer dropped Richie Porte and a few other big climbers on one ascent.  Unfortunately, he crashed at L-B-L and has been out recovering since.  He is slated to race in the Tour de Suisse, and if he comes through that unscathed will likely be riding in the TdF for the first time.  Pretty cool.  Someone to root for.  He is a climber so hopefully he has a good day or three and gets some camera time.
