I managed to catch the last 10K live.  What a finish.  Cav without Steegmans was pretty much on his own for the last 2+K - was super patient - almost looked like he was too far back then 'bam' he hits the afterburners.

Amazing - with proper lead-out he's unbeatable - and even without a leadout guy he wins at will.

Very cool to see.  The overhead shows the tactics better - not included in the below link though...

Nothing like watching the chess like moves unfold before a sprint finish. I love these sprint finishes just like the next guy, but really looking forward to the mountains.

Ya that was impressive how long that effort was. The Tour Spints are going to be very exciting.

BN is right, that launch is frickin' impressive in the overhead shot.

He was impressive today. He just jumped out of the wheels and then....BAM.

Is he really that much better than everyone else? Apparently so...

good link Cerv - watched that again - he completely punks Cannondale who looked like they had the perfect lead-out. He thrashes Viviani like a 3rd grader - beats him by multiple bike lengths and they jumped at almost the same time. I wish Seagan was in Italy.

Yes - the last 2Ks of the flatter TDF stages should be fantastic to watch (not so much for the first 198 though..)

Yup caught the last 40k. First off he was hanging well on the couple of climbs while guys like Ferrari were going backward. And in the end, after the team burned their matches keeping things together before last 10k, he gave another lesson in sprint timing. Nice how he bumbed that Venuzuela guy out of the way to get unboxed.

Check this out, tweet by Karsten Kroom :-)

Hope @taylorphinney is flexible, he is to perform fellatio on himself. He was going to do that if Cav won. Please post a pic of it!

Interesting comment by TP - hearing [semi] famous people spout off on things has little next to zero interest to me and reinforcing this .... is that was the 1st twat I've ever looked at.... and it's quite safe to say the last. I'm glad that's out of the way now. IF that facebook thing is anything like twatting, I think I'm doing just fine (LOL - I do work for a telcom company and am not that ignorant - however not a FB'er either - maybe in the next life)

find me a pic of him doing that and I'll find out on reddit

at 45, am I too young to yell for kids to get off of my lawn?

Caught it in a Dutch electronic newspaper so I figured I'd find you the original; I don;t normally dwell in the twitterverse.

TP made the comment after soundly beating Cav at chess last night; a bit of banter between the boys.
