Interesting. Of course he is just one of very many doing this.

That includes the likes of Amazon. Only they do it better and are apparently to big to go after.

The rich know how to play the game, that's how they get rich. It's the same with the politicians, none of them will hold the other truly accountable because they never know when they will be in the same place. And will continue because all the people who make the rules are rich. I still hold out a small believe that in this country one can lift themselves up, but only so far before they have to game the system

Just reading that Tinkov was diagnosed with leukemia back in May. He could probably give a rats ass about the tax fraud case.

Oleg just needs to shovel enough dough over to the Russian hackers to to keep November 3rd a dark day (the anniversary of my head injury) and revive the bicycle race Tour de Trump. Let American justice play out. (And don't drag it out!) Presidential pardon will be coming and all debts forgiven.

I'm sorry to hear about the leukemia. I have yet to know a patient first hand but I've been very aware of since i was a regular platelet donor 44 years ago. My platelets have gone to them, including a patient I was "tied" to during his bone marrow transplant.

I don't believe in the Trump-Putin collusion for even a second.

Yes, Putin favors Trump, but only because Trump equals chaos and weakens US (the ploy here is a tit for tat for Bill supporting Jeltsin who created chaos in Russia and signaled the end of the empire). Of course Trump admires Putin, just like he admires a number of other puppet dictators that he tries to emulate.

But collusion, nah.

If you aren't being saracastic, please read the Senate Intelligence Report that was made public yesterday. it clearly outlines how Trump's campaign colluded with Russia, through both Manafort and Roger Stone. And it was a bipartisan report.

This is pretty much the textbook definition of collusion, IMO....

I read a few summaries (BBC, NPR, etc), definitive "meddling" by Russia and "severe counterintelligence threats" associated with Manafort meetings with Russians. But no collusion in a legal sense, only collusion in a non-legal sense. This is where the Senate investigation and Mueller's differed. The latter only dealt with legal aspect of collusion and found no convincing evidence. Its like using legal performance enhancers versus using EPO.

I am sarcastic about this because the D's have tried to blow this out of proportions as if Trump and Putin would somehow have some common agenda on the world stage. Facts on ground always made this preposterous, with both sides remaining at loggerheads despite Trumps affections for Putin. .

Twitter is not news. That's why Trump loves it so much.

This report is still just a political beast, with opinion on collusion largely split along partisan lines (surprise, surprise).

"Six of the eight GOP senators on the committee offered additional views, included in a section separate from the bipartisan findings, saying that “after more than three years of investigation by this Committee, we can now say with no doubt, there was no collusion.”

"Five of the panel’s seven Democrats countered that the report “unambiguously shows that members of the Trump Campaign cooperated with Russian efforts to get Trump elected.”

They certainly don't have common agendas, but they each have agendas that allow them to assist each other. Putin wants to sow discord and chaos among Western democracies, casting doubt on their legitimacy and weakening them. Trump is the perfect tool for this since he doesn't care about anything else besides himself.

And there is no crime of "collusion"....but the record is 100% clear Both the Mueller Report and the Senate Report clearly establish that there was collusion (not conspiracy) between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Well yes, Trump is the tool for Putin, just like Jeltsin was the tool for the same western nations, no question there. Not sure what Trump or Jeltsin got out of it, other than getting elected. This is one way street stuff on both counts IMO. With the west laughing when the drunk Jeltsin made of fool of himself, running Russia into ground, but Putin now having the last laugh. Remember this Time magazine cover, you lads bragged about election meddling back then...http://content.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,19960715,00.html

Hey, don’t expect me to defend our past history of interfering in other nations. It is shameful and a blight on our country.

As to Putin having the last laugh, in the near future historians will come to recognize that we did not win The Cold War, not was it about democracy vs. communism. “Communism” was just the iteration of Russian Authoritarianism that was being used from 19117-1991. While we were doing victory laps, Mother Russia was licking its wounds and Putin was plotting. This is a centuries-long struggle for Russian presence on the global stage.

Hmmm
Consider: Somehow China figures into this historical view. They were the richest civilization on the planet for centuries. About 500 years ago give or take, what is now the West said two things: "let's trade" and "we don't know" (rather than authoritarian dogmatism) which created the west's technological superiority that allowed our ascendancy during the recent centuries. China is catching up rather quickly. Or has caught up. And is more aggressive. I'm sure they are delighted that Putin has a lacky in the White House. I'm no Trump fan, but I agree that this world view surely powers some of his supporters. Obama made a good attempt to freeze China out with the Pacific partnership thing, but he was not at all a good salesman and too chicken to say out loud "let's screw China", ditto Hilary, and now it's gone. Too bad, because it was a good deal for America, democracy, and western values of individual liberty. Trump is doing a great job helping China fill the resulting void. History will not be kind.
