Hoping close to normal. How are vaccinations working in Europe? Hoping better than our semi screwing the pooch here in the US. Hope is coming here 1.20.2021, but the current occupant is posting various trolls in positions of power in the infrastructure (deep state) .

Well, I know exactly what Spring 2020 looked like, and it wasn't pretty. Unfortunately I fear the possibility of it being even worse for Spring 2021.

We are lazy, selfish beings. After witnessing the temper tantrums that many Americans had over their "liberties", I can't imagine us making any of the slightest concessions to truly battle climate change or any other great challenges ahead of us.

There is always hope. But taking off the rose colored glasses doesn't show much.

Vaccinations in much of Europe seem to be at slower start than here. First shots in Netherlands and Germany are still a little ways out.

By the numbers The situation in US on a per capita basis isn’t all that extreme. Just one of a pack of many countries. It may seem extreme because of all the antics surrounding it and because a poorly set up health care system. Plus of course you’re dealing with large numbers simply because of a large population.

Spring 2021 will be much like spring 2020 globally. The end of tunnel may come in final quarter of 2021. Patience.

Noticed this was posted in professional racing so presumably the operative question was on classics.

UAE looks like a go. San Juan has disinvited Euro pro teams. For classics much will depend on current trajectory which isn’t looking greatest. I assume it will be a mix again with some races happening and others getting canned. But last spring there was no racing so anything will be better than that.

Yes spring classics that entertain and lift our sprits, yes this is a hopeful post, dare I say for the ages.
Please do your best to stay safe and enjoy life. We can do both, for just a few more months. Effective vaccines are coming soon. This health care worker will get dose two in two days, without hesitation. No worries here. Please let all do the right thing.

Good for you for getting the early dose.

Based on the sensible prioritization applied here I trust my turn in line will be sometime this summer.

I managed to get out for a good long ride today. Holy hell the socially distanced Christmas tree drop off at Richmond recycling depot was making for one massive long traffic jam. Hahaha.

sorry for the messy post above. Should not post after a 24 hour shift, apologies for the gibberish.
