The way VDP takes corners compared to rest. Wow.

WVA down about 1 min with 55k to go. Not looking good for him. Moscon leading the race…praying MVP reels him in. Coming up to Mons en Pavele…

Our prayers have been answered! I hope MVdP goes full "Amstel gold finish" and passes him about 100 meters before the line.

Except ... does it handle like your last mount?  Moscon might have discovered otherwise.

The photo of Moscon in the VN live coverage; shades of the famous "hell of the north" photo of what? 50 years ago!

Colbrelli - riding a very smart race.  Looks like he is getting low on gas but he is where he is because he is using his strengths very wisely.

Seemed like Moscon replacement bike had a bit much tire pressure.

As I as writing the above, Colbrelli surged and now he is one of three. (And he's spent far less time in the wind than either of the others.)

Epic race, great result for Colbrelli.

I would just like to give thanks and praise to the Cycling Gods who intervened twice to make sure Moscon did not win. Promised sacrifices are forthcoming.

What a win for Colbrelli! This P-R gonna be remembered for a while.

All three podium sitters are P-R rookies, no? Has that ever happened before? (Well, the first edition. )

OC that makes sense. Never thought I'd feel sorry for Moscon.
Great race, truly epic.
