Fuglsang damn near continued the Tour de Geezer streak.....but Thomas is now up to 2nd overall so he could win the whole thing for the old men. But that was at least an entertaining stage.

Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I can’t say I am really following these Tours or This and That, other than reading results. Certainly one of the more boring parts of season.

Skybots prevail. Again. Sigh. Congrats to Simmons for the mountains jersey win. Doubters, haters and diminishers will diss the entire podium, but that's crap. They overcame obstacles on the road and off. The riders and teams that bailed did not.

CN had photos of both Thomas and Evenepoel taken from the same spot. Evenepoel is absolutely flat-backed. Thomas up probably 15 degrees. Impressive he finished just seconds behind with that much bigger aero section.

I don’t think there is a need to diss the podium, but at the same time, you have to note the lack of competition. The old adage of “in order to finish first, you first have to finish” certainly applies…. But for a TdF warmup race, I think it is safe to say that no one from this podium will be a factor next month.

Evenepoel is absolutely flat-backed Evenepoel is deceptively aero….old school aero vs. today’s positions of raised hands, etc. his position on a TT bike over similar to mine (ok, that should probably be the other way around 🤣)….I freaking love seeing him on a TT bike. And a his road bike for that matter. He just disappears vs. the competition.
