Wow! Between the bus and the wrecks I don't think I have ever seen anything like that.

Yah, I read the blow-by-blow before I headed out this AM. I know that flats, crashes, etc. are part of the game but I still hate it when a race is decided by mishaps. I don't want to take anything away from MK though because he might have won the stage anyway. He's strong and only getting better.

How about Millar getting up there in the sprint? EDIT: Look at the smile on MK's face in some of his podium shots...that's one happy dude!

Well that is one way I would not have thought of to get your name in the press, the PR director should ask for a raise.

Cavendish is right, too many last second changes; once they had an alternate location they should have stuck with it.

Cluster f. Chaos.
Why not just spin a wheel before the stage and send 6 or 7 riders home every day for the first week. The result sheet would look the same, but no one would get hurt.

Anarchy is right....I would normally agree with Cav that they should not have gone back to the original finish line after they changed it to the 3K line......HOWEVER, that would have been an exceptionally dangerous sprint. There was a roundabout less than 100m from the line. If they had gone full speed up to that line, the crashes could have been worse than what did occur.

Complete cluster, either way.

I think Millar was gonna try a 1K flyer, but Argos still had too many guys and were able to drill it to the line.

Yea, to finish the stage at the 3Km would have been a real disaster. They should have just held off on the call, if they couldn't use the original line, just get the directors car out there at the last minute @ the 3km line in front and call the sprint off, everyone same time.

Yeah, meant to mention that durielk....they should have just neutralized the stage at that point.....everyone gets the same time and it takes the dangerous element of confusion out of it.

Sure,MIT would have sucked for the racers and the ASO, but it would have been the smartest option, IMO.

Yeah 3k was in the middle of a chicane. Didn't seem like a realistic option.

Race Radios won the day.
