Watched the end of stage 16 last night. Richie did a ton of work on that climb. Got dropped and then got back on. Paced Froome and AC back to the group. Impressive bit of work. I still think he is the 2nd strongest rider there this year. It is like he has the legs to do what ever he wants to do. Missing the school bus that one day really cost him the podium.

kind of like when Hincapie would pull the lead group and drop contenders?

there's a forum called "the dark side"; let's try to confine our doubts to that forum and not spew all over every thread, ok?

Word Entheo. The constant casting of doubt...why do you even follow the sport at the elite professional level jrt1045? You obviously no longer enjoy what you are seeing.

If Porte were the second strongest rider there he'd be in second place

I know that there is a "Dark Side" forum, but these two topics can't really be unbundled. I watched the stage last night, and when Porte came back to the lead group while Contador was trying to launch repeated attacks, the only thing I could think is that the whole thing stank. I know Porte and Froome are strong, but they're frankly just too strong for the rest of the field and that doesn't sit right with me. I really don't know how we can spin up threads about these performances and not let people share their doubts in the same threads.

Richie P is strong when needed with good recovery abilities but not anything we haven't seen in other strong Lieutenants such a Hincappie and a host of others.
