Since I am stuck here at home recovering from my surgery I got to watch both the Veluta and the Qubec race today on steephill today. Just another plug for the Internet .... That is way cool.

I've never seen Sagan get beat like that. He was in a lead group of about 5 with about 2K to go. Some more hitched on. Came down to a largish bunch sprint. Sagan had nothing. He tried to make one move but that even didn't get him to the front let alone off the front. Never seen him not bring it home in a situation like that.

"Pre-race favourite Peter Sagan (Cannondale) used his bullets to chase down a late escape from Niki Terpstra"

The fact that Gesink won shows it was a tough course/race. Gesink is the anti-thesis of a sprinter. The Pro Sprint Challenge was also fun to watch yesterday; great event.

Sagan had plenty just now, GP Montreal, to put in a good show and with roles reversed in that Gesink did too much too early on penultimate climb. All big big names (minus the Schleckster) came out to play in that final 11k. Awesome race.
