last two years the vuelta has been really exciting and i am in need of some new watching material for the winter.    So -- looking around for Vuelta DVDs from last two years and I come up completely empty.  Anybody have any suggestions on where to find them?

hmmmm -- registered in but cant seem to download the vids I want for thirty days. Also they have a rating system that mystifies me. How does that work?Below see the rules they post for using the site. Maybe someone can translate this into of form of communication that is recognizable to non-geeks

New users restriction
Users that are members less than 30 days can download only "Compressed Video" files. In case you donate, but you're still in 30 days period, you can download anything. Of course your stats(ratio, uploaded) need to meet below conditions 2., 3. and 4.

HD & DVD restrictions
1. user must be a member at least 30 days.
2. user must have a ratio above 0.70
3. user must upload at least 15 GBs. In fact, 10 Gbs only (10 Gbs uploaded by user + 5 Gbs signup gift)
4. users warned or $4itlisted can´t download HD&DVD

New users who are still within the 30 days BUT have uploaded more than 15gig AND have a ratio better then 0.7 can download HD&DVD

I'll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs.

If youd just give some info I can use I'd be less grumpy. Enough with WCP - I'm not buying anything from them. But I cant believe there is no one selling Vuelta DVD's anywhere on the web from the last two years.

Sorry, Stronz, I had no idea how much that torrent site had changed sine I last looked at it. Used to be entirely without strings. I downloaded some before, but did not have a good DVD authoring program to make DVDs I could play thru my TV, so I visited the site less and less.

So, what is a good DVD authoring program for downloads like these? As to the lack of commercially available pro cycling vids - other than WCP - there is just not enough demand.

no prob it did look like a pretty cool idea. altho I'm not sure how you upload a video in an ethical manner unless you have raw footage that is your own. And really who has that? Otherwise those pesky copyright issues arise. Maybe I dont get the whole thing. Anyway......still want to watch me some vuelta

Sorry you didn't take those posts in the manner in which they were intended. I had planned to follow-up with the cycling torrents site, but since someone had already posted the address, there really wasn't a need.

I was trying to be funny with my response CK. Dont worry about it -- still dont get how cycling torrents works -- are we supposed to upload dvds we have bought that have been produced professionally? Pirated from on screen feeds? taken from a device at the event? All of the above?

Damn interwebs......always fookin' up basic communication.

I haven't used the torrents site in awhile, but since it seems to operate on a premise similar to the original Napster model (i.e. having multiple computers out there for other users to download from), my guess is they are trying to prevent people from only downloading files, burning them to DVD's and then deleting the files. the system really only works if there are bunches of the files out there that users can access.

Just a guess.....
