Nine or ten regular helmets and one hairnet… dude, you KNOW who it was before you saw the face or the Lotto jersey.

Probably rode 80k to the race then rode home and went for a training ride afterwards.

Tchmil! There is a great documentary made by Belgian TV on the great Tchmil/Museeuw battles of the mid 90s.

Apparently he was considered an affront to Belgian cycling sensibilities. A RUSSIAN. Coming to live in OUR country? Trying to win our races? Blaspheme! He literally took on all of Belgian elite cycling to get his wins and eventually won them over.

if you look up the definition of a flahute, you'll find a picture of Andre Tchmil. definitely a thowback to an earlier time, more Belgian than a Belgian

no power meter and skratch lab rip-off items for him
