A climbing sister, that is.  Much, much better than I ever was or could have been, but a sister nevertheless.

Saw this photo of her winning the 1st Gila stage today.

Retouch that photo a little, get a beard in there, doctor the bike up to a 59 and that 's me!  Me doing what I love, blasting up hill, out of the saddle.  (Yeah, my legs are a little skinnier.  I wish...)

Started appreciating her after reading her blog on racing in El Salvador this winter.

There's a lot about Ms. Abbott to admire. She must really love to ride too because she left the sport and came back. There were a lot of reasons but one that she talked about was pondering the social usefulness of bike racing. She made peace with that and came back to the sport that she is quite good at playing.
