Till now I've been one of the doubters; questioning his rapid ascent as a GT contender. But he is starting to change my mind with some of his recent interviews, asking for specific tests that make sense.

So I am going to give him the benefit. He still leaves me stone cold as a bike racer, but that's another matter.

I read that and also changing my mind. He makes a good point. I have had trouble with teams going to Tenerife, a place far from drug controls, but with one of the world's top riders publicly taking UCI to task for not hopping on a plane and doing the tests, I am now thinking "hey, UCI, get with it!" It's just not that hard. 3 teams with three of the best GC riders on the world in one hotel?

I read that too. I believe CF even though he has a personality of a rock, but that's what he was blessed with so I cannot hold that against him, it's the other two I am reserved about and find hard to trust.

On the other hand, Armstrong was a vocal advocate for more testing at times, too. Not sure how much this means if you believe the dopers are mostly staying ahead of the testers.

I took this article to mean that CF is not on the juice right now and wishes he could get some nice clean values. And maybe he even knows his competitors are glowing a little. Still dont like him especially after the revelations he gave himself about his behavior in the 2012 tour. Sorry "mate" you were a domestique and Sir Bradley was the protected rider. Deal with it.

I know and I have been thinking exactly that on some of the earlier things Froome said; fairly generic hollow remarks. But this sounds differently, a level of exasperation with the authorities, and for good reason.

Froome's the very model of a modern bicycle tour pro,
He's information power, mechanical, and aero,
He knows the kings of cycling, and he quotes the rides historical
From the Classics to the Tours, in order categorical.......

I'm more with stronz.....I think he might be trying to do it clean and he knows the others are probably on a different "program" and now he wants things to be even...

Stronz, Glad you liked.

What I know about opera, I learned from Bugs Bunny and the Simpsons....

On topic, I prefer the likes of a Pantani to a robot like Froome.
