Maybe Cavendish was right when he said he could only win $4ite small races. Is he injured or something? Doesn't seem to be able to get close this year.

Yesterday his DS Marc Sergeant publically complained about Greipel being afraid of the course and the crowds. Some words along lines of team putting it on line for him for no reason, "he had the guys ride for him...but every corner he hit the brakes...you can't win that way"

Well, it doesn't help that he lost 3 of his leadout guys today on the run-in, either.

harsh words indeed from Sargeant, though!!

crashing tends to take the edge off of some sprinters and Greipel has done his share in the past few years.
