What do you think? He's racing at the front pretty well this week. Do you think he's going to hang in there? |

I always thought it was better going into a GT a little off peak condition. |

He may not have form, but if the main contenders don't watch it, they will be looking at the back of Evans' jersey. He's not a favorite of mine, but he is doing all that a serious GC contender does. Ben |

He knows how to race for gc extremely well. With Wiggins on the ropes, I would expect him to come out swinging from here on out. |

Wiggins is not looking sharp is he. You get stuck behind a crash once, maybe bad luck. Twice? Hmmm, then he goes down and you strat to wonder if he's not quite up to it. Tomorrow will be interesting. |

Evans was not present on Stage 3 when Ryder was attacking. All the GC guys were with Ryder and Evans was MIA. Not a good sign. Since then, he has been more attentive, but I wouldn't count on him being a factor for the overall.

OK, place your bets here. Odds for win, place or show. I'll give 3:1 only for show. |

The thing Evans cannot do is match Nibali's acceleration on a mountain climb. I expect Nibali to put real time into Evans at least once come the last week. But Evans doing nothing stupid and being there the rest of the time? Wouldn't surprise me at all. Anyone who makes a mistake or has a bad day will finish behind him. Cosmic, Ryder has been on fire. Evans starting a GC a little off his best? Maybe not dumb. So he lost a few seconds on Stage 3. THere are still two weeks. Ben |

He will come unhitched on the first real mountain stage. He has grit but he still isn't firing on all cylinders |

I don't know if he will come "unhitched" which to me means blowing up but I think there will be an acceleration he will not be able to match and he will lose real time at least once in the final week. Ben |

If he does hang in there, I hope he doesn't wear pink until the final day, because from what I could see BMC was not there with him on the climbs which would leave him isolated and vulnerable to attack. I like Cadel. He can be a little whiny and edgy with the media, but hell, stress and fatigue can do that to ya. |

Today should be interesting to see how he does. I expect attacks from lots of guys near the finish. Should be a thin group crossing the line |

And the answer is, yes, Evans has form. It might be a close Giro, after all! |

Evans looks good. If anything he came in lacking and is riding into form. I have a feeling he'll be stronger by week 3. |

Evans seem to have form. Nibali certainly does. Uran does. Does Wiggins? |

Well, his form appears pretty darn good so far. We'll see how he holds up. Would be cool to see him on the podium for sure. j |

He has the best position - thought to be out of form so not much pressure. Can take advantage of whatever happens if he feels good and just train into shape as he gets a ride from the peloton. He may surprise people at the end! |
