He may want to rethink his TT position.
I just thought it was a shame that he couldn't capitalize on his win in the Alps.

Painful to watch him struggle with the TT bike as Dumoulin, Spilak and Thomas were battling it out for glory.
There's a new Cancellara in town and his name is Dumoulin, except this one likes hills better than cobbles. He hails from same region as where I grew up, aka the Dutch Mountains. One of the podium girls really liked him; incidently her dad rode for Peter Post's TI Raleigh squad way back when.

Yes, painful to watch. But he is 25 years old. He's never been there before. Let's see if he grows from this.
I am a big fan of the new French talent. It has been a long time coming. That these upcoming riders don't completely have it together is, in my view, not very surprising. France went through a dearth of pro bike racers for what, 15 years? after the Festina affair. Hence there have been very few role models for up and coming riders to look at and study. But they are doing enough that the next generation will have idols on bikes. France is coming back. And given their place in the hierarchy of bike racing history, that is only right.
