I hope it's back next year. It's become a significant race. With the world and US economies slowing down, it will be tough.

I think the race has run its course....look at th field that showed up last year. No one of note....and even when big names were present, they weren't racing.

It was really not much more than a glorified domestic-calendar race.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I can never remember where, what or when the US pro challenge is, which is probably telling.

Also telling is the fact that I've not seen this story on other cycling websites I frequent (Cyclingnews, Podium Cafe, Cycling Tips, Inring) to name a few...
Have not seen this mentioned on the Paceline, but someone did start a thread on Bike Forums.
Agree with CK that the race had run its course and no longer the "big deal" it was initially.
From the little bit of it that I followed it seemed like a nice race, but maybe its time slot on the calendar wasn't ideal either?

that is a bummer, I really thought this was the best race in the US all year............
from what I had been reading, these guys were losing huge amounts of money like crazy every year
