Looks like the bike snob nyc "approve" guy.
Actually, I think he looks like a very fit 50 year old who needs a shave and a hairbrush, not that bad.

No doubt he is still fit...he went 9:30 yesterday.

Vino went 9:13.

It's like I'm looking in a mirror lol.

My kid says says 5th in his age group.

Three went under course record. Two under 8hrs. Mild winds to blame is what my kid says.

Pretty awesome that these ex pros are still at it for the fun of it. Jalabert does commentary on French TV for race broadcasts.

OC...low wind and low temps / humidity (relative to Kona, that is). In the closing stages of the men’s race, it was *only* in the mid-80’s w/ mid-60’s humidity (normal is ~90/80’s).

Bike leg was blazing fast due to lack of winds...records shattered in both fields. Winds up near Hawi turnaround were 6mph vs the normal 20-30mph+. Stoopid fast. But it helped the runners since it was an easier day for them...they could save their legs for he run.

First time under 8 Hurd at Kona and they shattered the time...Lange went 7:52, 9 minutes faster than the record he set last year. No one will touch that record for a LONG time now.

Jaja was in fact 5th in his AG (50-54,also my AG) and Vino was 7th (45-49).
