Track sprinter Lynn Fitches (spelled all wrong, I know but have yet to see her name in print).  A junior from Australia (and I am guessing a young junior from her  speech and demeanor).

She raced this weekend at our local Alpenrose Challenge and completely dominated the sprint events.  Won the first three sprints of the 5 mile points race, then soloed.  Eventually caught by another strong sprinter who beat her at the double point finish and won the tie-breaker.  I think she podiumed every event she entered and won perhaps half.

This wasn't big competition; mostly Portland, Seattle and Vancouver with a rider from North Carolina who was a sprinting animal; maybe 13 women.  Still, I think we are going to be seeing and hearing more about this young lady in the future.

As soon as I learn the spelling of her name, I'll post it.
