Kinda last minute!

My heart says Evenepoel for the prologue but my brain says Ganna.  I'd love to see Evenepoel go all the way but that's a slim chance.  (Better if Stage 20 is canceled or leveled.)  Brain says Roglic but I hope it's wrong.

Evenepoel will take it all the way, pretty sure. Hoping that Roglic can make it interesting. Not sure how strong the support squad for Remco is though, that could factor.

Covid could throw the whole thing for a loop. JV has already had to change up their team a couple time, replacement riders for replacement riders.

Covid is still quite the boogeyman. It's still a crappy disease to get, and for sure a bad case of Covid is worse for older folks than say a bad case of the flu. But this should not mean no-no to a healthy pro cyclist. Offer them paxlovid. I'm in the semigeezer age range, and I had covid for a day last year - and was cured in 24 hours with paxlovid. Inside scoop: CDC will not recommend routine covid boosters for the general public soon. Curious to see how this percolates through the EU and pro sports in Europe. As for the Giro, if Remco gets a clear win, we will have a great TDF showdown in 2024.

This Giro may already be over.
