He should have gone for a stage win or two and just chilled. He is paying for it this July.

I don't think it was his choice, I think it was BMC's.....a booby prize for him to be the undisputed team leader while they quietly put ther faith in Teejay for July.

Anyone with half a brain could see that doing 2 GT's would leave him wanting come July.....especially given the parcours for the Giro. Add in his age and it was always a recipe for disaster. His performance in le Tour is not surprising me in the slightest.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

Word, I just did not understand the idea...I guess they were assuming that Teejay was going to go top 5 again.

Like I said, it was not doing it that I question, it is racing for gc. But BMC in general has been flat this year.
