that's a bummer. Would love to have seen one more of his finish line salutes.

Always enjoyed watching him. He didn't win a lot, but was usually in contention.

Bob, the dopers who admitted their cheating are hated while the dopers who still hide their cheating are loved. I don't know if an honest cheater is any better than a lying cheater though.

A Z-man moment.....
The most noble thing "he who can't be named" did during his reign of the TDF, During the 2005 TDF Z-man riding for CSC was wearing the Yellow Jersey during the team TT and inexplicably Z-Man went down, causing him and his team to lose the TT and Yellow Jersey to Team Discovery and "he who can't be named" . "He who can't be named" at first refused to accept to wear the Yellow Jersey because of Z-mans accident but had to relent because of the rules.

I though Z-man retired last season. Or did it just seem that way

Bobs - I am not boycotting against any american heroes. Just thought it was funny that a hardman of cycling would be into catching waves (and possibly drinking girlie drinks on the playa)

Hero's and Hardmen is a relative subject. I think of myself more an hardman than I do a bike rider that got paid in a year or two what took me 30 years to make at construction. I've no "sport" hero's. I reserve that for folks like my Mother who raised 7 kids.
Just wanted to clear up any false notions  .

Trust me Bob - I full well realize that raising you alone must have been a lot harder than riding Paris-Roubaix.

In fact, it must have been "Hell".
