I read that too. I'm liking what I am seeing from Cookson a lot. I'll happily give the time he needs to make the big changes if he keeps up this approach of tackling issues as then come up and doing the simple things to get things right. Pretty refreshing! (And these issues are going to keep surfacing for a good long while, I'll wager.)

Funny, I just accepted a position with executive at our soccer club and we have similar old farts causing similar problems (at a smaller scale).

And I almost broke a rule myself in my first week...apparently there are rules against poaching kids from other clubs at U11 level already. Well what do you know; I just saw a kid (friend) in need of playing on a better team :-)

What happens to the much disputed Kimmage defense fund? Does it simply get pocketed or will it get put back into cycling somehow?

OC I meant dropping the Kimmage suit.
The old coots have great tenacity. Might be better just to contain them in place, keep them in the tent pissing out, so to speak, but with no power.
