No guff eh. I walked the dog out at Spanish Banks and in the woods. Old dudes on mountain bikes wobbling about all over.

Just so I'm clear. At what age does one become eligible for old fart status?

Yeah, kinda like the formula for Number of Bikes I Should Own = N + 1 where N is the number of bikes I currently own.

There's a group here known as "OFR" (Old Fart Riders). I've ridden with them a few times. A fun group. Lots of gray hair. A couple of them can be a bit grumpy though.

Maybe you're an OFR when all you ride is steel without a computer...I might be OFR then.

So I've been an old fart since I was 13? First "real" bike, a 52-36 10 speed. Next, the Lambert with three chainrings (and sew-ups). One week after my last race, I ordered my Mooney that got my racing gears 53-42 x 13-19 plus a 28t front. I was 25 years old.

I've been an old fart a LONG time!

These "tripples"? Don't you have to go to Starbucks to get them? No, that I have never done.

i'm comfortable with being middle aged. shame i'm almost past it.
How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.
