Broken collarbone. Strava showed a 25mph to zero in short order as I cratered in at Derby City Cup in Louisville. First broken one in my life. Been lucky so far or I haven't been racing hard enough No surgery, just immobilize my arm for a month. Might still go to nationals in Jan just to say I did.

Right or left? (And are you right or left handed?) You might have to do it again to achieve symmetry. I didn't get it right until the fourth one (two and two).

Welcome to the club! Next year at this time, this member will be celebrating 40 years.

Sram doesn't as well... cross bike, 'ya know? It's what all the cool kids are running

Ben... right collarbone and I am, er, _was_ right handed!

Actually kind of cool to see the Strava data of the wreck. Sorta like retrieving the airplanes black box.

Doc took me off for a week to make are there wasn't any subdural bleeding. The hit was mostly to the shoulder but I did roll and my helmet hit the dirt so it was a precautionary but prudent move.

I'm taking Tylenol which in combination with the rat poison spikes my INR so there's double reason to be off the stuff for a bit. I've got some Tramadol if I need it once I'm back on warfarin.

Tylenol causes your INR to spike? I thought that was the one pain killer we could take that wouldn't affect INR?

I have my anual appt with my hematologist in the next few weeks...think it is time to seriously consider the next-gen anti-coagulants.

Doesn't happen to everyone but it does me.

The following over-the-counter (OTC) products may also interact with warfarin:
Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
Aspirin
Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
Naproxen (Aleve)
Cimetidine (Tagamet)
Omeprazole (Prilosec)
In addition, certain herbal supplements like garlic, alfalfa, anise, asafetida, clove oil, dong quai, feverfew, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s wort, and co-enzyme Q10, may also impact warfarin's effectiveness.

Another factor to consider with warfarin is Vitamin K intake. As long as your V-K intake is constant, your warfarin dose based on blood-work is appropriate. If V-K intake varies, it can have an effect on warfarin efficacy/potency. Vitamin K is present in spinach and some other greens, and sometimes is added to Vitamin D3 or multi-vitamin formulations.
wrt to omeprazole, if one proton pump inhibitor can interact, it is likely that others can as well.

Sorry about the crash. Long time no posting here but have been reading bout some of your using warfin. Found out I had afib about two years ago. Could not go over 10 mph without sucking major wind. Was on warfin for a while till I ended up with an inr of 8.7 and bleeding almost everywhere on my body. Ended up in the IR on a Vit. K. drip for a day. Then went on one of the new thinners forgot the name but like Xerralto.

Have had no real problems since but stoped taking that a few weeks ago. Have had the jump start of my heart once. Lasted about a week. Had an ablation last Feb. Things seem normal so just don't want to take blood thinners anymore.

Bummer. Hope you heal fast. If there's a positive side, at least you were having fun when you did it.

Sorry about the injuries. Glad you suffered no added injury from the coumadin.

My understanding is tylenol has to be taken in at least moderate doses to change INR - like 2 gms/day.

lsd, I've not heard the Tylenol threshold info... interesting. Time to do some additional research

vtguy, as my wife says, "It was fun until it wasn't." LOL, she works in surgery and the statement frequently pops up regarding how folks end up in the ER and then to the operating room.
