He retired years and years ago. I'm not sure how old he was, mid-70's at least, maybe 80. Always upbeat, rode a lot, a genuinely enjoyable person to be around.

He was out for a ride heading to a little town east of where I used to live and died of a heart attack.

Since I moved a couple years ago I only saw him a time or two but I was always met with a friendly salutation when we'd run into each other just riding around on some back road.

RIP Curtis you were a good man. Hope I have as many good years left as you were issued and that when my time comes it's an equally bittersweet day.

Happy that he died doing something that he loved.

Sorry to hear this, Dale, good of you to perpetuate Curtis' memory. Losing riding buddies is especially tough. We've shared so many experiences with them, and each place we rode together has its own particular memory. When our hearts heal, those memories will bring happiness and make us smile, and our friends will keep riding beside us.

Sorry to hear. The older we get, the more we're faced with this kind of stuff...

Condolences, I'll lift a glass and turn the pedals in his honor.
