Wow, a trip in the wayback machine. The image of Della Santa on phenom LeMond's chest is laser engraved in my memory! I was an aspiring but crappy Junior when Greg showed up and was beating everyone as a 15 year old wearing a wool jersey that had nothing but "Della Santa" embroidered.
Greg was the real deal before EPO and a certain Spaniard (whom I am 100% certain was using and has been smart enough to lay low ever since) bowled him over. F that cheating bastard, who has kept is Tour and other titles only because he wasn't a jerk.
