Played in my brother's Member-Guest last weekend. Not only did we win our flight to get into the Championship Shoot-out, we finished 2nd! We were one of the last 2 teams standing ont he 18th tee....totally surreal. 150+ guys following you around watching every shot. Talk about a pucker factor....I don't think you could have pushed a greased BB up my ass at that point!! Unfortunately, I pretty much threw up all over myself on that hole and totally screwed up 2 shots, including stubbing our first putt. Played really well (and consistently) all weekend. What was really surprsing was the increase in my distance just over the weekend. My drives went up huge (including 2 that were over 270 yds....and no, it was not downhill!!) and I was hitting my irons almost 20 yds longer. Being the High Handicappers int eh field, the fact that we finished 2nd was a complete surprise. We also pocketed ~$1500 each....not too shabby!!!
