I just got Di2. I'm sure it will be far to expensive. Any one hear about SRAM wireless? Sorry if I missed anything on a previous thread. But I just heard that Bissell ran it in the PCC (colorado race) and had great results. Possible release....??. Sounds pretty George Jetson.

Now that is really cool.
The comments are hilarious - the usual retro-grouches, naysayers and wide eyed can't wait folks (with deep pockets).
I would love wireless on an mtb even more. With everything going 1 or 2 x 10 or 11, the transition should be coming.

Yes, wireless on the dirt would be good. I'm still waiting for someone to get rid of the derailer and cogs out back..no not single speed...internal. Rohloff is the closest to making this reality, but I wonder if the BB is a better location for the guts. Electronic, wireless internal would be good.

Yes, exactly.

Chewing the fat story: I once had a rohloff, on a softtail: bombproof, fun and good range, but setup was finicky, it weighed a ton and the power loss was easily felt. Ended up selling it and going back to derailleurs.
As for the BB approach, as far as I know only 2 speed options have been offered, e.g.

I don't think it's caught on.
